I'm sleepy. It is cold and I hate the cold. I really hate the cold. One thing I find sucky is the way I look when I can't get comfortable. Being cold is much like that. There is no way to really get comfortable. Maybe that's why Eskimos always look constipated and people in the tropical always look comfortable. Just a thought.
When I'm warm I can get stuff done, even when it's too hot outside. I can still get things done.
But when it's cold, deep into my bones I'm a no go. It's hard to deal for me. My bones are riddled with arthritis and torn cartilage. I can't afford to fix them, or stop moving for that matter so it is hard to imagine a moment in time when I wasn't in pain. None stop pain. I know I took it for granted when I was healthy. Too bad

Fun times. I'll have to add this to my lists of things I had to figure out. The days of the old telephone are gone, for now at least. The Internet phone service is here. It's way cheaper, for now. But it's not magic jack or vonAge simple. You have to pAy more for that.
This way is far more complicated cheaper and harder to do. If it was only as easy as my iPhone. Even Wikipedia warns you if you want to continue. Just reading about it can hurt

This is a list of my skill sets, each with a colorful explanation:
The following lists are broken down in the basic general categories to give them order:
Artistic tools
Fine Arts:
I’m a fine arts major fluent in oil painting on canvas, illustration in all mediums, Abstract and realistic for most 2d applications.
Photography:
Studied basic photography in highschool and college. I worked as a fuji micro film lab tech for a number of years in the 90’s. I owned the first handheld kodak digital camera and designed a means to switch the archiving of large format documents from 35mm microfilm to digital scanning using digital cameras rather than scanners. THis prcess was then later stolen from me by my boss when he company went under in order to land him a new job. This company uses my idea to this day for archive storage. I have run portrait digital photography studios and specialize in glamor photography, portrait photography as well as nature and action shoots.
Computer Graphics:
I’m 100% self taught in all computer graphics and computers themselves. I am proficient in all of the following.
At 14 I took bass guitar lessons from Bill Halley. I have been schooled in private guitar lessons for 5 years following. I’ve studied classical acoustic guitar and music theory. I have perfect pitch and can learn any song on the bass, guitar, and or keyboards in under 5 minutes. I understand sound studio recording, multi track recording, instrument and vocal recording, live stage and sound set ups, amplifiers and PA systems.
Mechanical
Auto: basic engine repair and diagnostic work
Watercraft: Can work on 2 cycle engines, basic hull and fiberglass work and repair.
3D design: Design and layout of any object in a 3D computer environment using lightwave 3D
Household: repair of most all appliances, structures and parts of a house.
Sports and Active
Inline skating:
In 1992 I started using inline skates as a means of transportation. For two years I used it as a means to get to work, skating 5 to 10 miles per day plus 10 miles race training each day on a 1 mile track. I invented urban downhill slalom skating on asphalt without brakes. I have taught roughly 300 people how to skate and have used it as an effective cross training program for everything from weight loss and diet to cross training dancers and fighters.
Martial Arts: In 1997 I started training in Pai Lum Kung fu. ( White dragon northern style boxing) While it took a while, I hold my 1st degree black belt in Pai Lum and am well versed in hand to hand combat, weapons combat and fighting strategy.
Construction
Carpentry: framing, from scratch construction.
Plumbing: all home water supply, waste and general pipe work
Electrical: basic outlet and home lighting wiring
Interiors: color design, layout and planning, painting and surface prep inside and out.
roofing: shingles, gutters and repairs
Flooring: tiles and vynal
general contracting: site prep and contractor coordination.
Computer related
Image Archive and storage.
Image correction, color correction
Web Server administration, design and setup (I do not Code!)
Site design
ECommerce: setup, shipping, and sales flow
Printing large format, Photo Realistic
Universal skills, Unique Skills
I’m still working on this list........ :)

Universal skills, Unique Skills
- Worked as a bodyguard/driver for 3 Washington DC dancers for 4 months one summer.
- Bought my first house stocking beer and ejecting large drunk men from bars working as a bouncer then head floor manager for 8 years in a downtown bar.
- Can pull a jet ski engine and rebuild it and the jet pump from scratch
- Can build an entire swimming pool water filter system from scratch
- Can take apart a Houston Fearless Hollywood film processor and rebuild it and repair as needed.
- Have an automatic and instant BS detector for, salesmen, teenagers, mechanics, doctors, production engineers, artists, waiters, cooks and computer coders.
- I can hurt people twice my size very badly
- I can make any 2 or 4 cycle engine run that is mechanically able to do so by simply being near it.
- I study quantum mechanics as a hobby and find the forces of atoms and gravity and everything we do not understand about them highly interesting. I also believe that based on these ideas, murphy’s law and others like it are in fact real and can have a large bearing on how the world deals out seemingly random actions.
- have been the captain of a small boat and or PWC
- Owned the first smartphone in the harrisburg area in 2000, and paid dearly for being ahead of the curve.
- Was able to navigate 3 miles of the inland shore ways for 2 hours on a single jet ski alone with nothing more than a pizza shop map of the area which was not water proof and mainly pointed out places to eat on the island.
- Have worked in the sewers. Literally, my first job out o f high school was working for my grandparents sewer maintenance and repair company. I worked my way up to crew chief and learned how to drive large double clutch trucks and operate all the vacuum and water equipment.
- Producer: In general I can produce anything from a Saturday morning car wash to a short film about paving highways. As a producer , depending on the job at hand, this skill could be called also "general contractor " or project manager. The role is the same in all. The ability to coordinate various talents, people, locations, equipments, make them work and fit together to "produce" something from nothing. This role requires that I can learn on the fly, have an understanding of vast amounts of things not related to each other, yet not be a master of any while flowing to and from each as needed.
I’m still working on this list........ :)

Since last night election has made "smoking"pot legal in two more states, I have seen the old debate fire up. Of course these are in the states that still have the laws in place. I often find it interesting to tell the true story of Pot in the USA as a refresher for those people who don't understand what it is, or why it was made illegal in the first place.
Before I start my story lets get some basic facts straight.
1. The most dangerous drugs for the human body are Alcohol and tobacco. All the worse drugs like heroin and crack are bad for you too, but the things that make them hardest on the body are the things that the drug dealers "cut" or "mix it with, like rat poison So while heroin is much worse as a drug, the harm done to the body is by the filler, not the drug. The most harmful things are legal, as always have been.
2. You can not overdose on pot.
3. I have never heard of anyone getting madder, or more hostile while under the influence of pot. It is not a gateway drug nor does it have a physical effect like withdraw or addiction.
4. Pot is a "downer" and you must treat it the same as drinking as far as driving or operations that require safety.
5. Medical marijuana's only purpose is to ease the effects of the drugs given to fight diseases, it doesn't cure or fix anything. It's is nothing more than a pain pill that doesn't have to be, but can be ingested.
The story begins...
Shortly after the cotton gin was invented giving farms in America a better way to produce cotton, one of the "cash" crops. (cash crops" is a term we had to learn in school, it is no longer taught, and or changed so as to remove the one cash crop from the list.) The cash crops were:
Cotton
Tobacco
Hempt (POT)
Never the less, soon there after it became feasible to also produce a hempt Gin. The plus side being that hempt being a weed is easy to grow and unlike the other crops would grow back quickly and during a planting season. The introduction of a gin that worked for a hempt field could produce many many times in one growing season.. At this point in time all things that we consider made of paper were not made from wood paper, but hempt paper. The Constitution is written on POT, so is the declaration of independence.
Enter the wealthy land owners who, just prior to these gins being invented has purchased vast amounts of timber land across the whole continent for the purpose of using the wood for paper production, a new and exciting way to make paper. Seeing that it would take a tree many many years to grow back as compared to a field of weeds, they felt threatened and thus one of the first lobby groups were formed to protect the interest of these land owners. They successfully were able to make pot illegal and keep it that way. Over time no one remembered the gin, or the plus side and the story of how bad and evil it was became part of American society with whole generations growing up knowing of the weed as a drug with no other uses.
Most of those trees are gone now, and the families who owned them have moved on to other things. Paper is all but a memory in our modern computer age. I just threw out 6 trash can's full in my wife's office yesterday. all useless, all junk mail. However the drug laws and the conception of the weed have remained in place and used as a tool to jail people and control the conception of "Say no to Drugs" a term used in the 80's by Nancy Reagan to promote non drug use. This view point was based on the use of the drug in the 60's and 70's by the older WWII generation. What most people don't know is that hempt was still being used in WWII One application as rope because it is unmatched in it's natural tensile strength. The parachute George Bush jumped out of his plane in WWII was made 100% of POT and it saved his life
But, the old ideas die hard, as I write this and use spell check , Google can figure out all of my horrible spelling error's except for the word "hempt" it just has no idea what ever i could mean. :)
